2024 was a big year for me, I wrote and published 2 TTRPG books in print, attended my first con as a publisher selling said books to people, ran my first Kickstarter(over 1400% funded) and got back into running games with the Dungeons and Flagons WA guys.

It's been a while since I've last posted so here's what I've been up to recently. Attended my first con as a writer/publisher with my books, sold a bunch of them and had some amazing chats over the weekend, then I took my books to PAXAUS and had a hell of a time. It's been a fun couple of weeks.

I swear bluesky is bad for my wallet. Everytime I go into here I end up backing another Kickstarter or picking up a new game that I'll probably never get a chance to play BUT. SO. MANY. COOL. PRODUCTS.

Last night's game had the party travelling down a river in the under mountain. A group of gricks slithered up the side of the boat and attacked the unsuspecting adventurers.

Found a signed copy of a book from one of my favorite authors at the op shop this morning for only $4. I got home and found that I already had that same book at home signed as well.

Amazing day at PAX Aus yesterday. Met up with some awesome colleagues and talked for hours about game design and being a TTRPG writer publisher in Australia. Also got to meet @jamesjhaeck.bsky.social and give him a copy of my latest adventure. I love PAXAUS.

So PAXAUS is already hitting the wallet. So many cool indie games to get. Ghostfire had some awesome stuff and I got a bag full of their stuff, got some awesome things from Miniature Scenery, got a cool little model from Picsat. Looking forward to Acq Inc tonight.

I have an idea to make some braces that have a small energy blade that comes out. It would make an unarmed attack count as finesse, & give a +1 slashing damage. It's for my monk/rogue player so she can do sneak damage with her unarmed attacks. Anyone done anything similar before? How's the balance?
