Prepping for winter in Creature Comforts. I like worker placement where the spaces change through the course of the games. CC adds an extra wrinkle by making you gamble on whether you’ll get the dice to activate the spaces. Too much downtime with 4 players but I enjoy it otherwise.

Rebirth is easily the best Knizia game. Not even close.

This article was fun to read even though I disagree with Dan's main point. What do you all think? Do you find the word 'fun' has value when you read or listen to a board game reviews or discussion? I use it occasionally and I think it helps describe my experience when I do.

I love the story that gets told with these abstract discs and cubes in Harmonies.

One of my favorites on the table today. Underwater Cities remains one of the most interesting worker placement games due to the tactical card combining with your workers.

Heard a noise from upstairs. Apparently Duel for Middle Earth took a leap off the shelf. At least I know the components are all randomized before my next play.

Rare solo game for me tonight. Cthulhu: Death May Die by @ericlang.bsky.social is an amazing game. Tonight we’re trying take out the cultists highjacking a zeppelin while trying to prevent Nyarlathotep from burning us alive. Fire and hydrogen are a scary combo.

I think it's...notable...that after a board gamer has been in the hobby for more than a couple years, one of the primary ways they interact with their collection is trying to find a way to sell/donate/give away a good chunk of it.
