It is a common theme in academia to forget that faculty also get paid to do research and write papers. Getting paid doesn't mean no intellectual contribution to a paper, otherwise unpaid interns would be the only authors on papers.

I'm visiting Stanford campus, where I went as an undergrad. Just wandering around remembering. It's amazing what a force for good higher education is. It was transformational for me, and for so many I know. I don't have words for my anger and despair at the people trying to destroy it.
