Let's talk 20. There is fantastic evidence coming out of Wales after 2 years of 20mph - reduced demand on the NHS, reduction in injuries, deaths, even reduced car insurance premiums now as fewer small vehicle damage claims are being made. 🧵

Huge thanks to Campaign supporters who did a 12hr count on Dryden Road 🌞🌧🎐counting >1500 people on foot, wheels. We've noted some significant new info that DCC'll need to consider should they choose to think about different ways to keep Dryden Road safe for people on foot, wheels, and bike.

Scheme's traffic calming aims seem sound. The Exminster/city centre cycle route is mostly high-grade. Stretch from (& including) point of 📷 & along Sannerville Way/Bridge Road is poor in that multiple crossings of fast-moving/high-volume roads is required + numerous service access points to cross.
