Had an interesting conversation over lunch with a Greek friend who fled Greece during the junta to study in Paris and joined the student movement there. After everything he's lived through and fought for, today's political situation leaves him in despair. His insights were absolutely fascinating.

Talked to my mum. Her shortness of breath is worsening at an alarming pace - I can even hear it when she speaks on the phone. Doctors think her heart may have been affected by the severe blood pressure episode earlier this year. More tests with the cardiologist, whenever we can get an appointment.
