in my experience, the greater mdzs and tgcf fandoms both have horrible etiquette but for different reasons. mdzs was baby's first fandom or baby's first danmei for a lot of people *in 2020*, whereas people get into tgcf from tiktok which has insane notions of what's socially acceptable
