Absolutely abysmal for Seamus that as well, no way for him to get his send-off from the fans. Everton is as cruel a mistress as you'll find.

Watching the Pelican Brief, made in 1993, on Netflix, and there's a line at the start which hits harder now than it did then... "it never ceases to amaze me. What a man will do to get an oval office."

Just got a 4K bluray player - streaming is robbing us all of so much. I feel bad for filmmakers. Most people these days only ever see their work via streaming - it's like looking at a painting through a grimey window.

Really annoying habits by film/tv websites: calling things '3 part dramas' - it's releasing the 3rd season, not part. And Netflix or whoever 'quietly' doing something - just fuck off. Do you expect them to announce every new show/film on their platform to be shouted from the rooftops?!

Our directors made a decision today. From 1st May X will no longer be our primary platform. We are building here instead, and we’re really glad to be able to do that. We would love to get to know you better where are you watching from? I’m Kev, social media manager from the UK 🐾

If there's only one Star Wars book you read, it should be this one. Also there's some references to the game Imperial Assault so that's a huge plus as well.

SHUTTER ISLAND was released 16 years ago this week. One of the more underrated of the Scorsese/DiCaprio collaborations, the story behind the scenes has a Kafkaesque genius to it… 1/28

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Videos verified by The New York Times show Alex Jeffrey Pretti, the man federal agents shot and killed in Minneapolis on Saturday, was holding a phone, not a gun, when the agents took him to the ground and shot him. In total, at least 10 shots appear to have been fired within five seconds.

Federal authorities said the slain man, Alex Pretti, had approached agents with a gun. But videos show Mr. Pretti was holding his phone, not a weapon, when they pulled him to the ground.

This is courage. Looking a masked, government fascist dead in the eye, face to face, knowing full well that your life is on the line. If elected officials had 1/10th of Alex Pretti's resolve, we would have far fewer troubles.
