Conference organisers, if you have talks on AI, please make sure they aren't uncritical hype. Invite people from non-CS backgrounds: people who did philosophy, linguistics, arts, (cognitive) psychology and maths are all likely to provide very useful insights on AI.

tech hiring is not dead. i see so many startups looking to hire. you just have to know where to go to find positions. and positions just don't come to you anymore like they did in 2021.

A trait that I've been increasingly finding in good engineers is that they have a high mental pain tolerance. Whatever problem gets thrown at them they just keep going and reaching for the best possible outcome
