The violence we saw in Portland today, on the heels of the murder perpetrated by ICE in Minneapolis, shows the lengths this administration will go to terrorize our country. We are watching our neighbors being shot on the streets by entitled thugs. This is state sponsored violence.

I feel like I need to say this as a Native person. Why can’t we protest like this in these huge numbers for the brown people who are incarcerated and beaten and separated from their families? Why aren’t we protesting like this for the children who have been taken from their families, their mothers?
