i was hoping i wouldn't have to do this, but my car is being totaled after i was rear ended, & ins is dragging their feet on settling. i can't make it to surgery without a car. i've found a used one but need a down payment. i'm so sorry to ask for more help, this was not in the plans at all.

home, car retrieved, a few lil things i want the mechanic to check out but i got an agreement in my contract that i can take it to the dealership for repairs on anything that's broken that they should have caught within 30 days. food time. i'm starving. then work. i'm so fuckin relieved that's done.

sitting here waiting on my ride to get this car and waiting for insurance to get back to me and waiting for the surgery place to give me a proper estimate i'm so fucking sick of everything in my life being ruled by waiting on other ppl

called to make my first payment for surgery and apparently the amount they told me doesn't include a "surgical suite fee" and an "anesthesia fee" like what the fuck then WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME THAT SOONER???? they didn't even give me a number. they're gonna send me an "updated estimate" later.

too anxious to function, just been sitting here dissociated. car retrieval this afternoon. will be working again after.

man, i have a car ready for me i just can't get a ride there and enterprise wants to charge me hundreds of dollars for dropping their rental off at the location nearby. what's the point in a rental car if it has to be returned to the same location? what about ppl moving? what the fuck.

i think i'm gonna do my physical therapy and then do a little creative something for myself bc i feel burnout nipping at my heels. then rest.

Disney is an unusual company in that a relatively small number of employees are worth a lot of money to them. Pedro Pascal really does have some leverage here. Losing the Mandalorian / Mr. Fantastic is not something they want, and if multiple core franchise pieces take a stand, they have a problem.

it feels... pertinent & timely to discuss the gutpunch of pain that comes with seeing those you love have their grief twisted against them by rfk jr's bullshit but to do so i'd need to air out details about loved ones' deaths and i just don't know when i'll be ready to do that.

still no word back on insurance, but i worked out a deal with the dealership for the car i really liked from yesterday where i could put no money down and have slightly higher than i'd like payments, but be able to apply whatever insurance gives me once it's in and have those payments lowered.

finally home. gonna eat and take a nap bc i'm exhausted. but if i can get a decent down payment, i want that car i test drove today.

got an email from the insurance ppl that they're JUST NOW requesting a payoff number from my loan holder. so it could be a full week or more of waiting still. guess i'll be begging for funds again. god. damnit.
