I'm incredibly lucky. I have stable housing, my mom is 100% on board with helping my wife and I pay our expenses for a bit, and I've got the type of neurospicy where injustice makes me righteously and energetically FURIOUS.

I found out last Thursday that my non-profit I did healthcare access work for received funding for my position from a hospital system that preemptively discontinued its gender affirming care options for minors. Effective immediately. I submitted my resignation on Monday. Effective immediately.

My parents were together for 50 years when Dad passed away semi-unexpectedly in 2021. Mom is a woman of deep faith and threw herself back into the community after he passed - volunteering at the Catholic grade school where she was principal for years and returning to her beloved catechism work.
