This weekend, I joined Ukrainians in Bolton to mark the anniversary of the tragic Holodomor genocide. The event was held at our local Ukrainian Cultural Centre, which provides a home and a community for so many. Today and always, I stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦 #slavaukraini #holodomor

Earlier today, the Labour government launched the transformational Veterans strategy: ✅£27m released for a new veteran-wide support service offering guidance and support. ✅New funding for a dedicated wraparound homelessness service. ✅Investing In world-class veterans NHS support.

I managed 2.56 miles in 5mins for the annual IPT poppy ride in association with the Royal British Legion - in boots and a dress I might add! As a former employee of RBL, I’m incredibly passionate about supporting them and the work they do for our Armed Forces.

Today’s news of a ceasefire deal is extremely welcome. I know our Prime Minister and UK Ministers have worked tirelessly to allow us to reach this point, and I commend the efforts of our diplomats who have also worked incredibly hard behind the scenes.

Today marks an important historical moment as our government formally recognises the State of Palestine 🇵🇸 We held an event in Parliament alongside Ambassador Dr. Husam Zomlot حسام زملط to commemorate this occasion.

Tonight I voted to deliver the biggest upgrade to worker’s rights in a generation. Tonight, I voted the Employment Rights Bill through to protect workers and to ensure employees are treated fairly, which is more than can be said for opposition parties.
