Figuring out how it melted would require more context, e.g. is is glass slag from industrial glassmaking/processing, was it burned trash, was it a housefire/wildfire/campfire? Found on a beach or shoreline would explain the weathering etc.

Hi! I'm an historical archaeologist, I think this it is melted glass, possibly rolled around in water a bit or buried in damp soil for a bit but I'd need a closer look to be sure. Looks like it is green bottle or container glass, but sometimes glass changes color with heating, weathering & age, too.
