I never thought about it before, but plowing through an assignment at the last minute while still creating a serviceable product is one of the most valuable life/job skills one can acquire. Who wants to work with someone who doesn't know how to scramble a project together just before the deadline?

My 8-year-old niece asked me to share this drawing too. It has nothing to do with our other projects, but she's really proud of it and wants the internet to see it.

The other day, I opened a window and Ajax and Penelope both started sneezing. Me: I think they have seasonal allergies. My 10-yr-old nephew: How can cats have allergies? Cats ARE allergies! Sheesh, you know pollen season is bad when even the allergies have allergies.

When i was a teen, I was asked to write something I disagreed with for a journalism class. Earlier, I had been promised a comic spot in the school paper. I suspected that I would lose it if I didn't play along. My comic got dropped anyway for "lack of space." Complying in advance doesn't save you.
