I finished The Emperor Of Lies. A grim account of the Jewish ghetto in Lodz. It is a novel but reads as NF, it draws so heavily on real accounts. I don't know why I'm still shocked by the inhumanity of the nazis but it inevitably had that effect and continues to serve as a warning #devonbookhour

Also, a reminder that I'm looking for volunteers to host #devonbookhour while I'm in Japan from mid October to mid January (time difference makes it impossible for me to host from there). I've had a couple of volunteers already but be great to build a team

I read Ducks, Newburyport a couple of years ago which is 1200 pages of one sentence and I adored it so you never know.

I need to make a decision about August. I'm going to be away in France for the whole month and will struggle to maintain #devonbookhour so we either rest it until September (which I used to do as it goes quiet usually) or someone/some people offer to host for the month. Thoughts welcome.
