It was a pleasure to assist during these days to the conferences and be able to learn and discuss with so many professionals.

After three exciting days filled with numerous inputs and discussions, the question arose: What can historians do to combat the shift to the right and historical revisionism? We discussed this with Jakob Schergaut (@stattmythen.bsky.social), Michał Bilewicz (Warsaw), and Branimir Đurović (Belgrade).

How do visions of history in the far right appear in popular culture, performance and media? In our first panel of conference day 3, we had a closer look on neo-pagansim, turanism and media abuse in Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.

It was a real pleasure to participate on behalf of @dhi-paris.fr in this conference and this panel: Learned a lot about the situation in Germany, Greece and Russia! Huge thanks to @valuepast.bsky.social for organising this conference and the invitation!

Yesterday, we were glad to have @scouperus.bsky.social (Groningen), Katarina Ristic (GWZO), and @rheinze.bsky.social (@dhi-paris.fr) to discuss several types of contemporary revisionism in right-wing populism. The panel was moderated by Arnold Bartetzky (GWZO).

How did Europe's right-wing movements developed historical narratives after 1945? Andrea Martini (Paris) and Marie Müller-Zetzsche (@zzfpotsdam.bsky.social /MMZ) presentet their research on this and discussed it on today's second panel, moderated by Cornelia Siebeck @gedenkstaettenref.bsky.social.

Our second conference day started with a panel about the invention of tradition by the far right. We disscussed the right-wing's instrumentalization of the antiquity and middle ages using the examples of France, Greece, Germany and Russia. @maxweberstiftung.de @boell.de

We had to insightful panels yesterday on our first conference day. First, Paula Diehl (Kiel), Gideon Botsch (Potsdam), Walderez Ramalho (Santa Catarina), Berver Bervanage, and Marie-Gabrielle Verbergt (both Genth) discussed different approaches of analyzing memory politics in right-wing populism.
