🧵What are the first steps in making a graphic novel? For us it’s a really tight synopsis: a detailed summary of the story. This can take us a few months to build, with lots of feedback from our editor (if you’re at pitching stage, your agent does this editing before submitting to publishers.)

Had a fab time last Saturday with Inverclyde Libraries for their first ever comic con at Fort Glasgow library. The place was buzzing with kids.

The thing is, it's OK if reluctant readers need to start with prose, if they can't handle combining images and text yet. If it makes them feel safe and get the reading bug, that's OK. As long as they find their way to comics in the end.
