I published a piece in this special issue of Social Research, “The Devil is in the Details:Gendered Violence and Corruption in South American Football.” I know it is behind a paywall for many, but the abstracts alone are pretty exciting.

Atlético Huila are losing their cupo and are going to leave Neiva and play instead in Yumbo, Cali. I’d feel sorry for them, but they got rid of their women’s team after they won the Copa Libertadores, something their men would never get close to achieve, so hard to feel much sympathy.
