Agree! To me I think we should all have @openenergymon.bsky.social, MCS should improve the minimum scop from 2.8 to 3.6 and then consumers should have better protection to get installers back to fix problems if they aren’t meeting these standards

Test results are one thing, but how do heat pumps work in reality? Really well in most cases, according to the live heat pump performance data on www.heatpumpmonitor.org, a website from the good folks at @openenergymon.bsky.social.

I've been able to use @openenergymon.bsky.social to optimise the performance of my newly installed Ecodan 8.5kW during its first winter. Ecodan Auto Adaptive proving to produce better performance compared to pure weather comp during similar outside conditions.

This evening I've been doing some max output testing with a Vaillant 5kW ASHP, at 0C with 45C flow Vaillant claim an output of 6.6kW is possible, however in real world taking into account defrosts it only managed to output 5.3kW, which is 80% of the stated output

The ability to view Heat Pump energy use as "all", “run”, “space” and “DHW” on EmonCMS / HeatPumpMonitor.org is really helpful. I am showing the DHW and the Space heat view here to highlight the clear differences that are visible.
