What I would say to all my friends this morning: pay attention to how many councils actually change hands. The headline figure of seats won can be misleading. Even for all those seats won so far, Reform have only actually taken control of two councils.

I’m convinced the vast majority of people in this country don’t understand our “first past the post” electoral system.

Someone should make something like ‘Mixtape’, but from a UK perspective. As good as the game sounds, I’m sick of the Yanks hijacking nostalgia.

That new Star Fox game is almost exactly what I wanted. Maybe would have liked a brand new game, but then Lylat Wars is one of my favourite games of all time and definitely my most replayed N64 game. The art style was jarring, immediately following Fox from the Mario film, but it’s growing on me.

Alongside 007 First Light, there’s been a number of other Switch 2 games that have either seen indefinite delays or have been cancelled all together… Elden Ring, Borderlands, Lego Batman… there’s probably more. Why are developers having so much trouble with the Switch 2? Should we be concerned?

Saros is not a relaxing game to play. I feel like I’ve been in a physical fight every time I turn it off. I’m not sure if I’m even having fun. Hell of a game though.

YouTube are now injecting adverts over the screen, even on TV. The only way I could get rid of this was by clicking the ad with my remote, making it full screen and THEN dismissing it. I hate this world.

Been playing some Saros this weekend. I’m taken aback by just how much like Returnal it is. It’s essentially 80-90% the same game.

Uh oh… Kirby Air Riders has a mode where you just do infinite laps in the pursuit of the best lap time. That’s catnip to me. When Ridge Racer 64 got added to NSO, I spent literally hours just driving round the same course, shaving microseconds off my time.

I had a feeling it would be a good one from Hamster today. This looks great. I can imagine it’s going to be about £15 though and with everything else that’s coming out over the next few weeks, I might have to give this one a miss for now. (Cut to me playing it in 24 hours) youtu.be/5PJGp6NUx-g

Ordered Kirby Air Riders because I saw it going cheap and, it retrospect, it’s probably one of the better and more unique Switch 2 exclusives from its disappointing first year. When stacked up against everything else Nintendo have put out for Switch 2, well, at least it’s an original game…

Looks like we’re seriously only going to get those three Namco NES games on NSO this month. No GameCube or Virtual Boy. No N64 or even GBA… Shambles.

Get in. Happy for Molyneux, he’s the architect of many of my favourite games growing up. He gets a lot of stick for his “lies”, but I firmly believe it has always come from a good place. He’s a dreamer whose dreams were sometimes a bit too big. We need more dreamers in games, if you ask me.

Very happy I buckled. Two areas in, and I’m already enjoying Pragmata even more than I expected to. Feels like a lost game from 2011 (incidentally, the last time games were consistently good).
