Remember who the tunnel and highways are really for: friends of Doug. Using taxpayer 💰 on projects like this that don't do anything substantive to improve transportation is a way to repay construction and developer friends. This man is asset-stripping Ontario to reward donors and friends.

The result is increased student frustration, dysregulation, and overwhelm. Burned out staff that are leaving education in droves. Students with special education needs and language learning needs going without support and falling behind. Kids falling through the cracks.

Since 2018 when Doug Ford became the Premier of Ontario,
#OntEd
has struggled to make ends meet. Specialized supports and programs have been stripped away from students. Student safety is the only reason EA support is assigned, and it’s typically shared between several students.

Public schools need to be appropriately staffed so that ALL students can have access to an education. We’ve reduced our expectations to “try your best to keep kids alive and unharmed” instead of “make sure all kids have the resources they need to be safe and learn at school”.

Educational programming can include sensory activities and calming spaces, but kids need to be working on actual learning goals, or else it’s not really school. It’s glorified babysitting. Providing supervision within a school building is not the same as providing an education.
