The Nurse Practitioner Association of Ontario joined us at Queen’s Park and I had the chance to sit down with some nurse practitioners, including Jessica Romeo from Ottawa West–Nepean, to discuss improving funding models and better integrating NPs into our health care system.

Bob Plamondon is out from hiding but he’s still not answering questions from the media or from parents. He won’t say who he’s consulted or what he’s planning to do. Why does the supervisor think it’s okay to keep us in the dark? And why does the Minister of Education allow him to get away with it?

Yesterday I met with seniors who are facing a 10% increase in their retirement home fees. Unfortunately, this is completely legal in Ontario, because the Ford government has refused to regulate fees. That's why I tabled Bill 23 to limit retirement home fees increases, just like rent.
