I met with Ottawa Public Library CEO Sonia Bebbington on the importance of continued support for the public space and community programming offered by OPL. They offer equal access to literacy, social connection, and community programs. The province needs to appropriately support the work they do.

I joined Circles of Support for our Children’s Success to celebrate their receipt of an Ontario Trillium Grant. CSCS is a woman-led organization that brings together South Sudanese mothers and parents for workshops, conversations, and connections to address challenges in parenting and education.

What a beautiful day to be out chatting with neighbours. Once again, concerns around cost of living, access to health care, and lack of movement on affordable housing came up repeatedly. The need for policies to make life more affordable is clear.

Thank you, Mr. Boucher, and your Grade 10 civics class for inviting me to speak to you this week. It was great to have the opportunity to share with students about my role as an MPP and what it means to be an active citizen.

Wonderful to mark Ontario Nursing Week with so many nurses on the front lines of our health care system at the RNAO Ottawa breakfast this morning. They shared concerns about nurse shortages due to underfunding and wage parity. Instead of firing nurses, we should be supporting the vital work they do.

No better way to celebrate Ottawa 200 at Queen's Park than with @goldenpalaceottawa egg rolls, shawarma, beaver tails and tulips! It was a great evening spent with good food celebrating an amazing city.
