i hate feeling an obligation to gender i feel uncomfortable that there is sometimes an expectation to lean fully into certain styles because i'm transfemme... i dislike the idea of clothes or activities being gendered to begin with! i just want to wear clothes and do hobbies without expectations

tragic: this girl just found a song that goes hard three days after the band behind it went on indefinite hiatus

never sure how to explain what i listen to when my coworkers ask a. no one here seems to know what post-hardcore is b. the public perception of what emo music is drastically differs from what it actually is (whether it be misattributing bands or assuming it's only sad songs and i'm always depressed)

almost assembled a playlist! ^-^ i'm usually a full album listener, but the premise is taking one song i like from each album i have on rotation currently (omitting screamo tho cuz my girlfriend isnt a fan adjfajdf) a majority of it is emo and/or post-hardcore but not all of it

i listen to YAAMC s/t so much, i REALLY need to listen to death of a rabbit more cuz album has a lot of amazing songs too dhdhfhf

i find it funny how much i like the 00's "emo" alternative style while completely understanding emo is a music-based subculture undefined by that fashion but also i've found describing a style as "emo" generally does get people to imagine what one means so it's complicated ajdfjadf
