Just started the 3rd Southern Reach book - Acceptance by Jeff Vandermeer, and I was going to just read the introduction to Cracking Spines by @jasoncavallaro.bsky.social , but the book instantly sucked me in so I expect I’ll be staying up very late tonight.

On page 222 of Cracked Spines : Three Decades Of Horror by @jasoncavallaro.bsky.social And I feel vindicated! He lists Joyland as his 2nd favorite Stephen King novel! And big love to acknowledging Betty by Tiffany McDaniel as horror (it sure is), and the appearance of Mama Fish by Rio Youers!!!

BooksRead2025 #26 Required reading for horror fiction fans. Not sure if I should thank @jasoncavallaro.bsky.social or send 1000 curses his way for adding dozens of books to my already large TBR pile. Because I did the math, and there’s no way in hell I have enough years left to read them all!
