Jay knows how to nudge you to dig deeper and find words to express the inexpressible. The moment you start this kind of mental spelunking you realize how deep, varied, and mysterious it all is.

Turns out I was the first aphantasic guest on the show. Even between aphantasics, the way the mental world is experienced can vary a lot. "A lack of imagery" is too reductive a term for this strange trait.

Jay's podcast is specifically about what it's like to *imagine* things. He has aphantasia like me, and SDAM like me, so we had a great time comparing notes.

Ofcom has obsoletely no jurisdiction over 4chan *at all*. If it cares this much, it can just tell ISP's to block it. Not fine it. Now it's going after the big stacks, I full expect Google etc to pick up the First Amendment and absolutely bludgeon Ofcom with it.

Writing for the Machines | Weeknotes 430 Maybe I should just admit to myself that all I really want, is for some small trace of me to live forever in the mind of the machine god?

It's going to take a while to all get settled under common law here, but i'm particularly interested in what is going to happen with wills/probate industry. Once valuable digital things are more plausibly property, executors and family courts have to care about them.
