Died this day, 2001: Pianist and composer John Lewis, aged 80. Played on many of Miles' early recordings, including 𝘉𝘪𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘰𝘰𝘭. Founder of the MJQ, and of the Jazz & Classical Music Society. He wrote and arranged Three Little Feelings with Miles as soloist. #jazz #jazzsky #milesdavis
