More evidence of how badly Trump has lost the war in Iran. Iran has destroyed over two dozen US MQ-9 Reaper drones since the war began - nearly $1 billion in losses and about 20% of the Pentagonās prewar fleet, Bloomberg reports.

How about: a) I believe the UK should rejoin the EU; but b) Neither we nor Brussels are ready for a formal negotiation; and c) EU membership would not be a panacea for our national challenges; so c) I will work to build trust and lay foundations with the EU, while advancing other priorities.

I have no idea how to end this thread, so I'll just say this: There are a lot of completely miserable people on here, and they will tell you, earnestly, that you owe it to them to be just as miserable as they are. Please do not listen to them. You are loved, and you deserve your joy.

Dogpiles exist to give everyone a nice hit of dopamine, but it's also a way to punish outgroups AND as a way to keep the ingroup in line. After all: if you see the horrible shit the ingroup does to the outgroup, you're incentivized strongly to not end up in the outgroup.

The greater good, of course, in this case was "making me as miserable as possible". Because the most fundamental thing to understand about dogpiles is that they have leaders and they have followers, and every single follower knows that they could be the one at the bottom of the next pile.

But the thing that makes dogpiles different from just "a bunch of people being mean" is that dogpiles will seek out their own internal justifications to continue. For that, they turned specifically to this post I wrote the day before in response to a post from Annenotation:
