We're in the midst of multiple collapses. If you aren't engaging with mutual aid in some fashion, boosting asks, offering any kind of help you can give, asking your needs too (not always funds, yall, skills too) then you arent building community. If you arent building community, wtf are you doing?

Hard lesson from someone struggling to folks about to be: NO ONE will help you if you dont ask. No company or landlord will ease up if you dont make a big public fuss. Politeness & shame are tools those with social power use to get away with abuse, neglect & killing folks. Get loud. Demand life.

The idea that there's anything wrong with relying on 'mutual aid' (that thing that defines society, anthropologically?) is what's wrong with everything. Because I rely on Mutual Aid & continue to ask for my own & other people's needs: I'm alive - & so are about 15 other people, just this last year.

We MUST keep folks fed, medicated & housed. Saving one another is the MOST important goal. Don't let folks be unhoused & unfed when fascists are scooping us off the streets to dispose of for profit! Mutual Aid IS community! The sooner folks figure that out the better off we'll be. 💜🙏

What if instead of trying to restart the broken system that was genociding us we did LandBack & reparations, built sustainable healthy communities with Indigenous lead land stewardship, & taxes that paid for community needs like UBI, transport, housing, education, healthcare, disability & childcare?

Fascists win when folks abandon entire communities to invisible death because helping folks is "exhausting" & they don't want to be burdened with it.
