Comfortably the least owns in the top end but still pleased to finish top 25 in Brain of Music. Still, there's a LOT of music out there I have no clue on. Until next time!

2026 is definitely the year so far of 'Hey, do you remember all that work you did in terms of self-validation and growth? Wouldn't it be cool if you forgot it all and went back to hating yourself?'

I've seen some great wrestling in my time but have never had as much fun at a show as last night at

Went on my annual trip to the cinema last night to see the new Knives Out movie, Wake Up Dead Man. Really loved it, so much fun, had some pick and mix, what more can you want in an evening really

Of the last twelve authors who have won the Booker Prize, only two (Marlon James and Douglas Stuart) have published another novel since their win. Obviously very recent winners skew the stat, but still a surprising figure to me. Worth a read (though you may need to register to read it for free):

Not saying that second child syndrome is a thing or anything but our first child wouldn't speak a word at school for his first two years whereas our second child has had six weeks at school and so far I've had to tell her..

today at 5. Sadly he died a few weeks ago but he was able to watch the episode in advance with his family before he passed. He was a wonderful, supportive, impressive man who we all miss very much. RIP Uncle Tim, we're all watching with you.

To win against a PL side with kids because we only have 15 senior players and they need to rest is one of the truly great results.

Anyone intrigued by Hulk's passing might be forgiven for thinking wrestling is full of old dinosaurs. And WWE has been heading steadily more MAGA recently. But then large parts of the rest are surprisingly progressive and awesome. A thread π§΅

Went to some local village festival today and sent a picture to a mate of mine who went to Glastonbury last week and said it was pretty much the same thing. He sent a picture back of where he was, at a local festival himself. Neither of us realised we were stood next to each other.

Glad Oasis seemingly smashed it last night, saw a couple of videos and they sound great. Never been my band and I wouldn't want to be there myself (far too macho a scene which has always made me uncomfortable) but music that appeals to the masses is usually underestimated.

The boy's class at school if they do enough kind things sometimes get a 'treat that you can eat' and I always laugh at how cutesy it is, until I remember that at work they have a 'cleanest floor kitchen' award and the winners get a 'surprise and delight' snack.

It's sometimes annoying to work in a marketing team when the marketeer folks are saying about some ad 'this is one of the best promos I've ever seen' and I think 'well what about Stone Cold Steve Austin's Austin 3:16 promo after winning King of the Ring 1996?'
