If I were a BioWare staffer, I too would be worried about the studio’s future in relation to EA’s acquisition by the Saudis & others. I want this studio to continue working on the Mass Effect & Dragon Age IPs, as well as original projects, even if that means BioWare going independent or being sold.

THIS IS EXACTLY MY POINT!!! I am truly concerned about the impact it will have on indie game industry. We should be supporting more and more indie devs, studios and games and not allow these major corps to have that the Savior complex on the indie game industry.

A lot of people are (understandably) focused on the Saudi Arabia and Kushner part of this, but the far bigger immediate impact will come from the new private EA being on the hook for $20 billion in debt. That could mean mass layoffs, more aggressive monetization, and other big cost-cutting measures

Is my concern over the impact of this catatrophic acquisition on its indie publishing arm, EA Originals, valid??? Cos I am worried!

I would agree with Hades 2, Hollow Knight: Silksong and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 but I'll add Death Stranding 2, Blue Prince, and South of Midnight, the latter game for music, and art direction although I do believe it will go head-to-head with Expedition 33. Just an opinion. My opinion.
