August 6th 2025: Eighty years since the atom bomb fell on #Hiroshima #広島 And 1 year since my dear mother was told she had liver cancer which the doctors had failed to spot. A hundred thousand people died because of the bomb. And my mother only lived for a hundred days after her diagnosis. R.I.P.

It's just turned #WerewolfWednesday here, so... I'm currently reading 'Switchblade Shorties', the final comic from the late Ed Piskor. It climaxes with a bloody (and very funny) battle between mischievous little girls and a ravenous #werewolf!

The movie 'My Friend Dahmer', based on the true-life graphic novel by @derfbackderf.bsky.social, is currently showing on Film4 in the UK. Certainly not something I expected to encounter while channel surfing, but I'm not complaining.
