It is insane how frequently the federal government has seen fit to introduce non-province-specific programs that benefit less than half of the provinces/territories in the country, and have thrown up big old honkin roadblocks to keep other programs from getting new provinces enlisted.

There are a lot of conversations floating about how to fix this country, and a big part of it seems to be questions about what broken system we are meant to fix here: are we fixing the Court, are we fixing money, are we fixing Congress, are we fixing the Presidency?

I think I've said this before, but not only should there be zero billionaires, but there should be zero trillion-dollar companies. Any company that even starts to sniff at that scale gets restructured into a cool dozen subsidiaries. Corporations shouldn't dwarf nations.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but having an infinite auto-paginated wall on your front page when all your support and contact information is in the footer is really bad UX. Put it in a sidebar or at least have an anchor link in the header that can disable the pagination temporarily.

Sometimes it's hard to not post a follow-on joke, but it's probably for the best to refrain. At least, it is for me. I can reserve my unlimited joke trains for my 2 year old, who seems to appreciate even my dumbest material more than I could reasonably hope for.

I'd like to say spending 24 of the last 48 hours in emerg makes me the most furious, but for that to be true I would have to live somewhere where the proposed solution to government shortfalls was taxing the rich instead of cutting off poor people and rural communities.

The funny thing is, even though it's not the point, you stand to make a LOT of money hating billionaires. Getting that accrued wealth out of their hands and into circulation, out of politics and so-called philanthropy and into people's pockets and public service budgets, all that has immense value.
