Reflecting on amazing day of school self review yesterday. As a head, you rarely get the opportunity to immerse yourself in one aspect of the school. We had two super advisors in who were supportive and challenging but in a gentle way. Lots to think about and my brain is buzzing with plans.

World Book Day Adventures. I got stopped by the police because there had been an accident. Turned back and ended getting caught in car carnage down a narrow lane. Got out of the car to help someone reverse. I am dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and have had some great looks from drivers. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Happy World Book Day to all. Hope you enjoy it whether you are a dressing up school or not.

World Book Day Eve is the day I marvel at the number of dressing up choices I have as a grown adult.

Reading an old diary… “Officially Covid outbreak. Public Health involved in risk assessment” “41 COVID cases today. Hardly any staff. My sister got the Ofsted call.” “Another bubble closed. No staff. Couldn’t sleep last night.” I’m glad I kept notes. I had almost forgotten what it was like.

Over three months ago I had a fall. I have been well looked after by the NHS and now have my MRI results. I have a plan and understand the potential next steps. Really grateful to all the people who have helped on my journey.
