We see them all around the park but they get a bit of a bad rap but Nettles are amazing for wildlife! Nettles are the perfect place for laying eggs for ladybirds and you'll often see Tortoiseshell and Peacock butterflies fluttering around them #BeNiceToNettlesWeek 🐛🦋

There’s hope for the critically endangered Scarce Tufted-sedge plant (Carex cespitosa). Found at just 1 UK site, Lee Valley Regional Park Authority joined a recovery plan, spearheaded by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust to save the wetland plant from extinction in the UK. ow.ly/wbtC50Vwn6C 🌾
