How to kick a demon's ass. The key to winning our card battles is optimizing moves. Notice how I'm willing to hold a card between turns, undo my moves, and discard cards that are clogging up my hand. Watch your tooltips and pay attention to how keywords interact. The results can be devastating.

When we were refining the card battle interactions for The Killing Stone, we needed an undo button so we could test out various card combos. We loved the results so much, we made it a feature of the game. Here's how to optimize Undo in battle, and put those demons in their place. #indiegames

Just finished the demo for The Killing Stone (store.steampowered.com/app/2781470/...) From @questiongames.bsky.social The story drew me in, and the combat was fun. Definitely, 100% pick Period Dialogue if you try it. Not only is there some great voice acting, but the tone is that much grimmer.

There's one scene late in @thekillingstone.com which is a premeditated attempt to simultaneously execute a subtle immersive sim joke, & a wrestling joke. It's essentially a humane trap, left out for @dphrygian.com I just want to see if it catches him, so I can take him to school for show & tell.

Muto has strong feelings about One-Eye, but then Muto is a smart kitty. Maybe it's because One-Eye smiles all the time, and it's hard to trust anyone who smiles that much. Luckily, we have our familiars to sound the alarm when things seem not quite right.

David's AI is a jerk. It's a clever, lying-in-wait, outmaneuvering, devilish foe that we love to hate because it makes the Killing Stone so much fun. They say never get high on your own supply, but with opponents that keep finding ways to surprise and delight us, we simply can't stop playing.
