Labour MP for Sunderland Central
Alan Milburn confirmed the state is failing to provide proper, timely, mental health support to young people. Government is rightly providing a jobs guarantee after 18 months out of work. We also need a mental health support guarantee that would support employment & economy 👇

Good morning out with Grangetown Labour team. Not much love for Farage here either, but good conversations about keeping Sunderland on the up, the state pension (up by 4.8% next week) and the need for the Iran war to end.

Another positive milestone for Sunderland. Thousands of jobs depend on making Electric Vehicles here. Labour is backing them. Why are Reform and the Tories putting jobs here at risk with their reckless opposition to green manufacturing?

Drug-related deaths were at public health emergency levels even before this research which suggests they have been underreported. We must do more to improve access to drug treatment - to save lives and to reduce costs and harm to society.

Labour Deputy Leadership Given the geographical distribution of other leading members of the party & Government, it would not be acceptable to have a London Deputy leader. We need to represent and win across the whole of the UK. I’ll be looking to support a non-London woman.
