I’ve been listening to various podcasts about Robert Hooke. A remarkable character that I’d like to know more about. Can anyone recommend any books about the man himself or about the extraordinary things happening in the scientific world during his time?

Greet students with a smile. Establish seating plan. Make concerted effort to learn names. Make explicit/Model structure and expectations of typical lesson with reasons. Almost like a slow modelling of a lesson as opposed to a lecture or PowerPoint.
