Kitten update! They were moved to a new, bigger enclosure today and did really well! Not a hiss or a wail at all! They're not as friendly now, because they're still adjusting, but I can fit inside the enclosure now, so they're learning I have legs or whatever

Still growing, still getting less sus of humans, still need homes!

I was petting my garage kittens, as one does, after resetting their cage for the night (everything ends up in the litter box, naturally, and I wash a lot of ratty towels as a result). The calico kitten got so into having her butt scratched that she did a full flop and really surprised herself lol

Kitten update! They're getting sweeter little by little. Still having a lot of feelings about being picked up and handled, but we're getting there. I need homes for all of them, so if you know anyone in the Chicago or SW Michigan area who I can vet and has a veterinarian reference, let me know!

I'm trying to stay positive about my kitten rearing experience, but they're getting bigger, and I've had them almost 2 weeks, and they're still not...friendly, I guess. They tolerate being interacted with, sort of enjoy it if I pet their heads long enough. I guess I'm just sad.

I admit that I'm overly hormonal this week, but every time I acquire cats, even to adopt out, I'm always so sad that I love them more than they love me. Don't be afraid of me, tiny kittens! I love you so much. It makes me sad when you're scared 😭

Guess who just spent like, $170 on Amazon and got one month of Prime just to set these freaks up with a decent cat enclosure in my garage while I attempt to socialize them

Okay, guess who now has five new cats? The mom is free in my garage, but that's enough for tonight. I'll trap her with time.

Okay, new development, all four kittens curled up in a pile on my porch chair after feasting on cat treats and it was cute as hell. This was ruined by a big old possum (amazing) who scared them off, and then came back to eat the other cat treats I left out for them to entice them back.

I'm not generally a big Converse girly, but I found this leather pair with rose gold eyelets for $6 on ThredUp, and after a good scrub on the midsoles and some leather cleaner and soaking the laces back to white, they look fantastic. Current stock is made of "vegan" leather (plastic), so I'm happy.

Every time someone has their little iPhone texting noises still turned on, it makes me want to grab their phone and turn off that setting. It's an absolutely infuriating sound. I don't even know if my Android has that feature.

Heads up, I'm posting one page this week on Wednesday! Next week will be as usual. This chapter is almost done! I'll likely take off til next year when it's finished so I can reset and get at least the e-books made and try to navigate Kickstarter planning.

Additional blurry cat update! Both kittens are with the mom again. A diluted calico and a tuxedo tabby mix. They'll let me bring food out without leaving the porch, but won't approach me. I'm acclimating them to the giant dog crate to hopefully use it to trap them down the line. We'll see!

I find it funny when an animated movie for an original IP that wasn't meant to be a big deal ends up making bank, and then every executive is left wondering how it happened. The answer is then always that the movie had a coherent and well-crafted story, looked cool, and had good music. Every time.
