A sedate start to the year but a few Selsey area scarcities tracked down: Woodcock, Coal Tit, Treecreeper and White-fronted Goose being the best. I couldn't find the BN Grebe on Pagham Lagoon though.

Extremely slow offshore from Fowey yesterday, just a few auks of note and no birds working, unsurprising given the easterly wind. No cetaceans which was surprising! Back out from Falmouth today.

This is absolutely superb, seawatching to a T, trying to get others on the bird, staying on it and trying to give directions at the same time (not easy trust me!) and relief when everyone sees it! Top video indeed!
