An important lesson for every researcher is that going fast & failing to document every step is a recipe for nonsensical results. By contrast, if you go slow, document everything, and question your evidence--you'll still produce nonsensical results but with a lot of detailed notes. 🤷

I'm reviewing a revised ms now. 2 things to say: 1) NEVER use bright yellow highlights to indicate the changes in the ms. 2) Make the cover letter short (no double-spacing!). Don't quote revised paragraphs after each response. Reviewing a ms w/ yellow all over & a 40-pg cover letter is not fun.
