I did some interviews and wrote a few fun things but I also just had an amazing editor I’d do anything for but the pay sucked (but, to be honest, what online place doesn’t pay too little if at all) but it always felt like it was a struggle to get anything up with the structure.

Watched The Legend of Ochi with my kids and I get some of the lukewarm reviews but man it was a refreshing children’s movie that was weird and also slow moving and beautifully rendered as opposed to the slop we feed these kids with jump cuts and poop jokes.

The moment you first saw a wiseman movie changes you. It changes everything you thought you knew about art and the world.

As a teacher, I’ve battled AI and the thing I think is breaking students from it a bit in my class lately is that writing is an exercise of thinking and your ideas change and thats the important part. What you thought you knew you don’t and need to figure it out in the process.

I could estimate that people love to comment not only on books they don’t read but also the articles they don’t read and the movies or halftime shows they’ve never watched.

I would conservatively estimate that 90% of literary discourse online is driven by people who literally do not read what they're pontificating about. They complain about contemporary fiction, literary fiction, genre fiction, postmodernism, YA books, whatever that they just do not read.
