Recently we were talking about the adoption of AC in the Pacific Northwest due to the heat in the UK because places like Washington State don't have the widespread AC access of other states...much like in the UK. Apparently, we're 3rd from the bottom. Only Alaska and Hawaii beat us for a lack of AC.

everyone keeps asking if we're going to be able to do anything fun here in Chicago, and it looks like that answer is no. so now I kinda feel bad I told people I'm going to Chicago. but "I'm going to sit in a hospital room with a friend for 6-10 hours every day for a week" is hard to explain

my fatigue and my adhd are at war. I'm bored but also I'm too tired to do anything I need to concentrate on. but also not tired enough to just fucking nap, and my adhd won't let me sleep anyway. modafinil is supposed to be fixing both of these problems. but today is a bad meds day I guess 😭

got through security in record time. they didn't make me take off my shoes, or take out my batteries/tablet/phone, etc. they also didn't do a full pat-down, just swabbed my chair and had a big dog sniff me. I'm used to it taking 40mins-ish, not 10!

my doctor's office has a therapy dog for anxiety, and usually they just put him in another room away from me. but today Ash was like "I need the dog" lol (moving and work stress and stuff) Ash was very happy about this, and I think so was the dog.

new lease is signed! 🔑 we're officially moving to Federal Way. which feels weird tbh, because somehow ~Tacoma~ grew into my self identity a little bit? but this new apartment is such an upgrade from our old place, and is closer to most of our fancy doctors.

did an in-lab sleep study last night (so many wires*) and they had a "sleep number" bed. it was nicer than I expected, and honestly really nice to be able to adjust it through the night. if I could afford a sleep number bed, I'd probably get one now.

I don't have HBO but hopefully this will suffice. (I'm so excited, so I hope it lives up to the hype.)
