In happier news, today is National Black Women Physicians Day. My fellow Black women physicians and I proudly stand on the shoulders of Dr. Rebecca Lee Crumpler (1831–1895), who, in 1864, became the first Black woman to earn a medical degree in the United States.

I became a Costco member just yesterday. I called the number in the post below to tell them why I joined, and she said that they were logging all of these calls. She took my first and last name. Easy peasy, and a great way to show your support.
