I’ve been back to work for 10 days. I cycle between feeling lucky I got a job, yet super bummed I have to wear shoes again on the regular. My overly verdant backyard must suffer without a mowing until Saturday, weather permitting. Adulting is overrated.

After 14 months of unemployment without medical insurance, or a college degree, in the worst economy ever, at the age of 57, got a job today that will be enough to keep me in my house. A way out, a way up, if I can keep it.
