Question for academic bluesky: how long is acceptable between "accepted" and "published"? I have a paper that was accepted, minor tweaks, in April, sat for 3 months on the editor's desk for final rubber stamping and now ~3 months and is still not published (and no proofs)... Is this normal atm?

Audrey Harris, Matt Campbell, et al. developed a #GTSeq panel for monitoring Burbot! This paper is a great resource for panel development, as they detail their pipeline for microhaplotype & SNP selection, lab optimization & genotyping to reliably ID individuals, population structure & pedigree 🧬🐟

Although the volume of #ConsGen peer-reviewed science is increasing, Linda Neaves, Stephen Sarre, et al. show the gap still may be growing between research & application (conservation-genetics gap). They suggest that data co-production may improve the incorporation of the research into application.

This is my biggest fear: privatization of resources like Genbank or Genome Browser or OMIM would be catastrophic.
