In 2092AD, the crew of the Mastadon discovered The Abyss, a thundering maelstrom of electric space storms, whirling asteroids, and hostile beings.

Starting to visit Substack more often, has the sort of the long form content I liked from old Twitter/Internet, but occasionally you catch a trickster in the wild

Great read on the CLA approach to learning compared to traditional learning methods -
calibratemastery.substack.com/p/the-constr...
Interesting how much the CLA principles align with advice about learning game dev e.g. build tiny games, participate in game jams, have an ending before you polish

VERY excited by how positive all the Seance of Blake Manor reviews have been so far. Love a deduction mechanic, love the visuals, love the setting, looking forward to giving it a spin

My big project: The Death Generator. It's a tool for making fake video game screenshots, just fill in new text and it'll give you a (generally) pixel-accurate image back, the correct fonts and everything.

Hey
#GameDev
friends, we've been releasing fonts for nearly 10 years now and we wanted to give you something special. So we've zipped up all 1200 of our font files in one HUGE pack with one TINY price for full commercial use in your games and projects. Check it out!

β ChessTris β This one actually feels like a game! Originally made in Unity but scrapped and switched to Godot. Want to make a mobile friendly version at some point. Don't let the pieces reach the top, if you can beat 72s on Medium you've beat the dev π

π Containment π First "finished" game in Godot (really more of a prototype but I'm counting it!). Inspired by playing RE4 remake at the time and love how the levels centered around big setpieces. Definitely want to go back and add more levels/some form of story.

π€ GodotGuru π€ A custom GPT that's (mostly) up to date on Godot 4.X documentation. Custom GPTs still not as clever as o1 unfortunately but getting good results using both together!
