I was on Capitol Hill this afternoon, it made me feel better. The halls were full of advocacy groups making visits, phones were ringing in offices. People are doing something. In one office the answer was “The Senator supports all of the President’s nominees”, and yet, people kept calling.

Mantra for my place in this American moment “Do the next right thing.”

Every community, every person is harmed by blocking funding. Use your outside voice.

It's time to get rid of 14(c), which allows employers to take advantage of disabled people and their families by paying them subminimum wages while the companies make a profit off their hard work. It only takes a couple minutes to let them know you support this new rule.

I'm deeply disappointed by the disruption and failure to pass the bipartisan CR that would have included TA to end 14(c) certificates. This setback impedes progress towards fair wages and equal opportunities for disabled workers. We must continue to push for change and hold our leaders accountable.
