For #randomgamesaturday here’s an odd one. My wife and I initially bonded over love of video games, horror movies and music. We got married on a Friday the 13th. And so, for every year of marriage, I’ve given her another copy of this absolute masterpiece of a game.

The Switch 2 vs Steam Deck discourse is getting so stupid. I own both. They both have benefits and drawbacks. I'm playing both regularly. Neither Valve nor Nintendo need people to defend their honor. Go play games, have fun, leave others alone. This is why I'm always loathe to be called a "gamer."

It is really really sinking in for me the degree to which LLMs are the ultimate expression of right wing anti-intellectualism. Its proponents are literally mocking the idea that anyone would ever want to learn anything, know anything, develop any actual skill, or have a thought of their own.

It’s still amazing to me that we have so many of these games on one system. It would be cool to see the 13 trilogy, 15 and maybe even 16 on Switch 2. Not as key cards plz.

My 9yo and I played Combat tonight, jet fighters game mode, with the Top Gun soundtrack playing. It was more fun than I expected. Some of these games were very simple but still very fun.
