In our first pitch session, Ryan Shenvi, PhD, @lippilab.bsky.social, PhD, and Li Ye, PhD, will each share their approach to understanding the brain—from neuroactive compound synthesis, to microRNAs in circuit development, to brain energetics—and will take questions after each of their pitches.

The Lipp Lab (@lippilab.bsky.social) has uncovered how microRNAs guide the development of Purkinje cells—rare neurons tied to movement and autism. Published in Neuron, a @cellpress.bsky.social journal, the study maps how precise timing and gene regulation shape these cells’ identity and structure.
