This is literally one of THE most effective things people can do, and it's a lot easier to do than many people think: bsky.app/profile/crca... Spend 5 minutes of your day, and help shape the future you want to see. It matters.

Pro tip: Call the state office and talk to a staffer. Politely state your case on why a 10-year Ban on State AI regulation would be terrible. Then ask “what’s the Congress-member’s plan”. If the congress-member has made a statement against, thank them!! If not, politely urge them to do so! It works!

Your calls shows the opposition party they can get a visible win if they push! Your calls can also peel support back from the initiative. In the House we only need 4 votes to tank this. It becomes infinitely more difficult in the Senate, so please, for the love of god, call!! We can do this! 🔥

But Karla, does calling even do anything? YES it frickin’ does! I’ve spoken with so many folks in politics and the ONLY thing that can counteract moneyed interests from getting what they pay for is OVERWHELMING public pressure! That’s it! Nothing else! Your calls matter! Your attention matters!
